(Press release) St. Kitts – As the first half of the year winds to a close, leading by the purpose of “care” has proven to be the key to success and colleague engagement at Park Hyatt St. Kitts.

Within the first quarter alone, the Human Resources team was able to afford promotions to twelve colleagues across various departments within the resort.

Namely, these are:
Jacqueline Hector – Event Services Manager
Jacquith Dyer – Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Ronis Mike – Food & Beverage Supervisor
Kishaun Liburd – In-Room Dining Team Lead
Vergelle Pemberton – Housekeeping Supervisor
Dianne Dore – Pastry Sous Chef
Delvina Caines – In-Room Dining Team Lead
Terrance Dasent – Sous Chef
Casiann Jno-Baptiste – Concierge Agent
Nadine Brandy – Concierge Agent
Shanarda Daniel – Assistant Guest Services Manager
Tamena Roberts – Assistant Event Services Manager

Director of Human Resources Waveney Henry attributes Hyatt’s value of care to the reason many of the colleagues have journeyed with the company from its inception until now; realizing their hard work and efforts manifest into new roles.

“When you put “care” first, you will inevitably create a culture of empathy where people know their growth is valued. I am proud to see so many fellow associates who began in 2017 rise to new challenges, as well as, see some of our new faces embrace their duties and align themselves to shine.”

In the spirit of care, Park Hyatt St. Kitts held its second annual Health Fair on Thursday, June 8.

This year’s health fair guided by the purpose of care sought to highlight the company’s value of wellbeing and saw the inclusion of activities that were also good for the soul.

Colleagues were once again able to receive complimentary eye screenings, health checks and information vital to their insurance needs. In addition to returning corporate partners Courts Optical, Nagico, MASA, Ministry of Health and Department of Labour, new partners St. Kitts & Nevis Social Security, Dale Amory of Imagine Yoga, Al-wali Muhammad and City Dental joined to provide more information, sound healing, meditation sessions and dental checks to colleagues.

Assistant Human Resource Manager Seba Jones and Human Resource & Learning Manager Kristy Daniel both agreed colleague participation rose this year and were impressed by the turn-out.

Returning vendors also shared the same sentiments using 2022’s inaugural fair as a benchmark.

“We are proud to continue this important program for our team as it builds connections within our community, encourages our colleagues to prioritize self-care in all facets and use fun as fuel,” stated Ms. Daniel.

“The health fair truly encapsulates the core values Hyatt is known for, and ensures our colleagues can be their best.”
