St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A Lexus owner extinguished flames from the rear of his vehicle at Craddock Road Nevis on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

The report states that the owner, a Haitian resident of Nevis, parked up his grey Lexus vehicle at about 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, and almost three hours later recognised flames emitting from the vehicle.

The St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services were summoned to the scene, but the vehicle owner had already used buckets of water to extinguish the fire. However, the firefighters removed the battery and other components from the vehicle as a precaution.

There were no reports of damage to the front and sides of the vehicle, but there was evidence of damage to the rear bumper and lights, as well as the electrical wires.

Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force were present at the scene. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
