LIAT Resumes Services at Grenada and St Vincent

(Loop Caribbean) – LIAT has taken a decision to resume services for Grenada and St Vincent.

In a statement issued today (Wednesday), the regional airline says the eruptions at the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent have halted and there have been very few ash emissions reported over the last week.

LIAT says on account of the improvement in the conditions, it has taken a decision to resume services as follows:

  • Grenada as of April 28, 2021

  • St Vincent as of May 6, 2021

The airline says based on the volatility of the situation, passengers should continue to monitor their emails and LIAT’s website for updates.

LIAT states passengers wishing to reschedule should contact its Reservations Call Centre for assistance.

The airline notes it will be working with authorities to assist in relief and evacuation efforts into St Vincent until advised to stand down.

LIAT says it will issue further updates and advisories via its website and social media platforms.

The regional airline had suspended all flights in the southern part of its network on April 9 due to the volcanic activity in St Vincent.
