Basseterre, St. Kitts (WINN)- If you would like to offer emergency relief supplies or make a monetary contribution to assist the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines, you can do so through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Items in immediate need, according to NEMA, include the following:
1) Drinking Water: preferably in the following national brands: Island Purified, Rainforest, Nevis Spring Water, or Nelson Spring Water
2) Respirator Masks with Filters
3) Non-perishable, Dry Food Items
4) Bleach
5) Disinfectant
6) Liquid Soap
7) Personal Hygiene Kits
Those items can be delivered to NEMA Headquarters, Lime Kiln by 6 pm today Sunday.
On Monday, the Nevis Disaster Management Department(NDMD) will receive supplies until 3.pm, and NEMA will accept your donations until 5 pm.
The items must be packaged in unsealed boxes prior to delivery to NEMA on St. Kitts or the NDMD on Nevis in order to facilitate an inspection by NEMA and Customs.
If you would like to make a monetary contribution the options are:
1/ Donations can be made directly at the Treasury in St. Kitts, in the name of the Accountant General.
2) Donations can be deposited at St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Ltd – Account Number: 10126963; Account Name: Accountant General.
Persons needing clarification as to the items they wish to donate are asked to contact NEMA at 466-5100.
