St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A man is in hospital after being stabbed on Lozac Road, Basseterre, sometime after 9 a.m. Friday (Sept. 23).
WINN FM was on the scene moments after the incident occurred.
A masked assailant approached the man while he was attempting to fix his vehicle after it experienced mechanical issues while driving. According to a police officer, the assailant fled the scene.
The victim ran towards the Basseterre Police Station onto Bird Street and then onto Cayon Street. The victim was rushed to hospital via the Emergency Medical Service.
Officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force were on the scene attempting to clean the blood that left evidence of the crime on the steps and sidewalk.
