St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Kendale Liburd is offering mathematics classes to elementary and secondary school students and adults who are preparing for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) mathematics exam at the Old Road Community Centre.
In a social media post, Liburd noted, ” Without Mathematics, there’s not much we can do. Mathematics has always been a love of mine which is why I am always eager to host my tutoring services every calendar school year. It is my goal to assist those who need that extra help while creating love and passion for mathematics. These days, Mathematics has been frowned upon and one of my objectives is to shift this negative perception toward mathematics.”
Classes for secondary school students from 1 to 3 will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 10:15 am and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. For individuals preparing for Math CSEC examination, classes are slated for Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
However, in the case of elementary school students, Liburd said he will only offer Maths tutoring to students of grades five and six. He explained that this is the first time he is offering classes at this level. Liburd further shared that once registration is closed, he will determine a day and time of which classes will be held for students of grades five and six.
Liburd also told WINN FM that all students must pay a yearly non-refundable fee of EC $100 which will be used to cover the cost of printing, copying and other additional materials.
Liburd was the People’s Labour Party candidate for St. Christopher 4 in the just concluded National Assembly Elections of St. Kitts and Nevis. He is a certified Mathematics teacher. The details relating to the maths classes, the link for registration and contact information can be found on Kendale Liburd’s Facebook page.
