St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Health officials in St. Kitts and Nevis are ramping up efforts to promote a safe and healthy sex life as well as to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases and infections.
People are encouraged to take advantage of the free rapid HIV testing that will be conducted on Thursday, February 10 in the parking lot of the Ministry of Health at the Bladen’s Commercial Development.
Mrs. Lucine Pemberton-Vaughan, Health Educator and Counsellor at the National HIV/AIDS Secretariat provided details about Thursday’s health fair which is slated to begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.
“We would also be having blood sugar testing, blood pressure testing, kidney testing which involves the urine and Body Max Index so it’s a wide range of testing but mainly, come and get your lover’s license and your free condoms and lubes for the activities for the weekend.”
In Nevis, free love packages will be distributed on Monday, February 14 beginning at 11 a.m. until supplies last at the War Memorial in Charlestown. People will also be given the opportunity to win prizes.
