(VI Consortium) ST. CROIX — An argument between a father and his son, a minor, led to the young man discharging shots at his father, the Consortium has learned. The V.I.P.D. has since corroborated this information.
Responding to a query from the Consortium regarding the matter, V.I.P.D. Director of Communications Glen Dratte said that at about 8:22 p.m. on Thursday, the 911 Emergency Call Center received notification of shots being discharged in Estate Whim in a residential area.
Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate the incident. Once at the location, the officers learned that following an argument between a father and his son, the young man opened fire at this father.
“The father gave his son a verbal reprimand which led to a verbal altercation where the minor discharged gunshots at this father,” said Mr. Dratte, who also confirmed that the father was not injured.
Mr. Dratte said the minor immediately fled the location, and that the V.I.P.D. was attempting to locate him.
