St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Suspension of Import duty on non-commercial goods has been extended to January 31st 2022.

Clothing and other items will benefit from the month-long extension to the value of $200 US dollars (EC$540)

There are two other duty-free concessions on gift packages of foodstuffs up to 500 pounds in weight which ends on February 28, 2022.

Additionally, during his budget presentation, Prime Minister the Hon. Dr Timothy Harris announced the suspension of import duty on food items to June 2022. The specified food items are vegetables, fruits, fruit juices, and vitamin supplements.

“Of course, this is an effort to encourage our citizens and residents to boost their immune system by accessing critical supplies and to reduce the cost of living,” said the Prime Minister on why concessions were allowed on those specific food items.
