St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): In an update on the traffic accident involving Conrod Simon of Wellington Road and Rae Clarke of Mattingley Heights; the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force released a statement giving the findings based on the autopsy of Simon who died as a result of the accident
The autopsy was performed on the body of 81-year-old Conrade Simon of Wellington Road on Monday, October 19, by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez.
Dr. Nunez concluded that death was due to traumatic shock as a consequence of multiple traumatic injuries due to the traffic accident.
Initial investigations revealed that around 5 p.m. on October 15, Clarke was travelling along Cayon Street and Simon stepped down from the sidewalk into the road in the vicinity of the pedestrian crossing on Pond Road. When heading east onto Pond Road, Clarke collided with Simon.
On Monday, October 19, 29-year-old Rae Clarke of Mattingley Heights was arrested and charged for the offence of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving.
He is accused of causing the death of 81-year-old Conrade Simon of Wellington Road with whom he collided in a traffic accident on October 15, 2020. Clarke is currently in Police custody.
