Mottley: Access to medication and vaccines top priorities for the Caribbean

By Jermine Abel

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Mottley raises concerns about access to medication and vaccines in the fight against COVID-19

Accessing vaccines and medications to treat the COVID-19 virus are major concerns for the Caribbean, according to Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley

The outspoken prime minister raised the issue during a presentation at the ongoing virtual Regional Security Conference themed “Securing our Caribbean Community within the era of COVID-19 and beyond.”.

Mottley challenged the Caribbean to establish gold standard tests for COVID-19 before reopening their borders.

She, however, offered praise for the Caribbean’s approach to procuring test and medical supplies.
