St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Nevis has recorded its 16th case of the coronavirus disease according to a statement issued by the island’s Ministry of Health.
The statement confirmed that the 16th case has no recent travel history.
“On June 29, 2021, Nevis recorded an additional case of Covid-19. This brings the total number of cases recorded on Nevis to 16, since the start of the pandemic. Fifteen (15) of these cases have recovered. The newly diagnosed case is stable and in isolation,” the June 30 statement read.
People who may have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 or experiencing symptoms suggestive of Covid-19 infection are asked to immediately self-quarantine and call 311, 6615051, 665-5473 or your nearest health centre or your healthcare provider.
Symptoms of Covid-19 include nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, severe headache, body aches, dizziness, fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing.
As of June 30, 2021, there are 444 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Federation with 428 on St. Kitts and 16 for the island of Nevis. 264 are active with 178 recovered and three related deaths.
