St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): As COVID-19 numbers rise in the Federation, the Nevis COVID-19 Task Force is arranging a meeting with businesses on the island to discuss how to strengthen prevention measures to keep the virus at bay.
A virtual meeting is planned for Thursday, July 1, at 4 p.m., according to a release from the Nevis Island Administration (NIA).
On Nevis, the confirmed case count for COVID-19 is 15. The island reached that number with a single case on June 14 after not having a confirmed case for 90 days, since March 16, 2021.
Its sister island, on the other hand, is battling an outbreak, recording another 29 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours bringing the total on the island to 410 since the start of the pandemic last year.
Total confirmed cases now stand at 425 with 324 active cases and three COVID-19 related deaths.
