St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Junior Minister of Education in the Nevis Island Administration, Hon Troy Liburd, confirmed the handing over of 250 tablets to the Department of Education, courtesy Windsong Foundation International.
In response to the donation, The Hon. Troy Liburd stated, “The devices will ensure that students are not disadvantaged due to access to technology.”
Windsong Foundation is a growing partner of the Department of Education – Nevis. Over a year ago, in March 2021, the organisation donated two 30-seater coaster buses to the education department. In November 2021, Windsong Foundation donated a third coaster bus.
Following the recent donation, Hon. Troy Liburd expressed his gratitude to the Windsong Foundation.
“I take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to the Windsong Foundation for their continued support of Education on Nevis.”
The hand-over ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. In attendance were Permanent Secretary Mr Kevin Barrett, Principal Education Officer Ms Zhanela Claxton, Deputy Principal Education Officer Ms Londa Brown, as well as head teachers from the public primary schools on Nevis.
