St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): In an effort to encourage younger persons to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and to get a higher percentage of persons vaccinated on island, the Department of Public Health on Nevis has organised a “Let’s Get Vaxxed Raffle” with very attractive prizes to be won. The initiative will take place at every health centre on the island.
Upon receipt of their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, persons between the ages of 12-21, will be eligible to enter the raffle. In order to get vaccinated, young persons between the ages of 12 and 17 must have permission from their parents.
The prizes to be won are: two of the latest smartphones – the iPhone 13, and the Samsung S21, Galaxy buds, Apple AirPods, a smartwatch, a laptop and the Apple Xbox or PlayStation Amazon gift card.
Another raffle is also open to individuals who refer someone to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The referrer however must be fully vaccinated. The recipient of the vaccine can also enter the raffle, but he or she must have received their second dose by the end of February 2022.
The prizes for this raffle are: a washing machine, a 60inch smart gaming compatible television, air pods – the Galaxy buds and the Apple Airpods and either the iPhone 13 or the Samsung S21.
The ongoing raffle and drive commenced in December 2021, but only one ticket per fully vaccinated person may be submitted. It must be submitted by the vaccine recipient. The referral ticket, however, must be completed and signed by both the referrer and the person who he or she referred to take the vaccine.
The raffle and drive will conclude at the end of February and the date for the draw will be announced thereafter.
