Nevis Premier Brantley Announces Postponement of Major Events Due To COVID-19 Threat

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (Inland Revenue Department) – The St. Kitts and Nevis Inland Revenue SKNIRD recognizes the health and well-being of our staff and taxpayers as a priority. In an effort to do our part to minimize risks associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19), the department is implementing precautionary actions.

The Department will continue to sanitize its lobby frequently throughout the day. We have also placed for public convenience hand sanitizing devices within the lobby area. We are encouraging the general public to make use of hand sanitizing devices on entering and exiting the lobby area. Moreover, our staff are encouraged to wearing gloves when interacting with the public as a precautionary measure.

Further, the Department has implemented social distancing measures by allowing no more than 20 persons at a time to enter the lobby area to conduct business. As it is recognized that this measure will pose a challenge for persons wishing to conduct business, office hours will be extended from 8am to 6pm.

As an alternative, the Department’s user-friendly E-Services platform can be used to fulfill all tax obligations. Sign-up for E-Services is quick and easy. Taxpayers are encouraged to use our online services portal via our website www.sknird.com.

The Department will continue to educate our taxpayers and the public about the effects of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) through frequent updates via our social media platform (Facebook) and radio notices. We ask for your cooperation as we implement preventative measures for your safety.
