St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A new marketing brand logo for Nevis was launched on June 02, 2025, in New York City, on the sidelines of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation’s celebration of Caribbean Week 2025.
The event preceded the unveiling of the new Nevis Tourism website on June 03, 2025, where the logo was put on display. The logo consists of black and white imagery featuring the island’s name, ‘Nevis’..
Unlike the typical tourism logo brands that one would see, the new Nevis Tourism logo is rather eccentric, without the expected palm trees, sand, sea, and bright colours. The logo has created quite a buzz in the diaspora, said Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, who acknowledged that it, being ‘edgy, bold and different’, captivated the hearts of many people in Nevis’ source markets.
“The black and white imagery in parts of the campaign is intended to evoke class, sophistication, elegance, old world charm, authenticity, a deep history and a timelessness of how the Caribbean used to be, all of which aptly describe our island,” Brantley declared.
Among the Nevisian community, the logo created a different kind of buzz. Despite the nostalgic feel that black and white imagery would typically convey, some people were dissatisfied with the new logo upon its release, suggesting that it does not give an accurate reflection of what is truly Nevis. Others opined that the exclusion of local creatives from the design is unacceptable.
Recognising the concerns and displeasure, Brantley explained that the logo was not intended to target a Nevisian market; it is geared to attract guests to the island.
The new campaign, particularly the logo, garnered significant attention. Brantley anticipates that the conversations surrounding the tourism logo and brand would attract visitors to Nevis.
He said, “The campaign has done exactly what we hoped for, and that is to generate conversations not just about a logo or an image but about Nevis.”
The Premier of Nevis encouraged individuals to continue sharing and discussing the logo, which would help to promote the new campaign.
