New Lions and Leo Club Officers Installed

Basseterre, St. Kitts: A Joint Installation Ceremony was held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. This was done online for the first time, via the Zoom Platform, for incoming officers of the St. Kitts (Basseterre) Lions and Leo Clubs. The ceremony was conducted by Region 2 Chairperson, Lion Allan Alexander PMJF. Lion Heather Grant was elected as the Club President for the Lionistic Year July 2021 – June 2022 and Leo Kishma Archibald as Leo Club President. Lion Heather has been an active member of the St. Kitts (Basseterre) Lions Club for the past five (5) years, and Leo Kishma has been a Leo for the past seven (7) years.

The Leos will serve under the theme: “We Empower, We Serve, We Lead,” under
the following Board of Directors.

SECRETARY: Leo Tarissa Joseph
TREASURER: Leo Jonella Pemberton
PRO: Leo Duran Merchant

The Lions theme: “ Uniting our Hearts to Serve our Communities with Kindness,”
will be executed under the following Board of Directors.

Since the Club’s Chartering in 1979 its members have worked on a variety of
Projects in the local community, including Diabetes Awareness, Sight Conservation & Eye Banks, Children Fun Day, Accessible Sidewalks/Ramps, JNF Kiddies Park, among others. Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to various charities, scholarships and other causes to which the club has contributed.

The St. Kitts (Basseterre) Lions Club has thirty four (34) members and meets on
every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Lions Clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
