St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) — “Women in Leadership — Being Impactful in a COVID-19 Era” was the theme under which the Ministry of Health and Gender Affairs within the Nevis Island Administration held an awards ceremony to honour women on Nevis who have made a sterling contribution to nation-building.
Donette Pemberton-Lewis, Karen Morton-Evelyn, Natasha Bristol, Laura Liburd, Tarra Huggins, Omel Wilkin, Jameicia Morton, Faith Bertie, Gertrudys Nisbett, Debriana Herbert, Sylvia Stapleton-Thomas, Voretta Bailey, and Christina Smith were the 13 awardees.
The Women’s Month Awards Ceremony took place on Thursday, March 25 at the auditorium of the Nevis Performing Arts Centre.
A “Women in Leadership Forum” is slated for Saturday, March 27 at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a “Hats, Gloves and Heels” event scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at the Botanical Gardens.
Celebrations for Women’s Month on Nevis will culminate on Monday, March 29 with a Basic Home Repairs Workshop at the conference room of the Gender Affairs Department. The workshop is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
