St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Coral Reef Assistance Restoration and Education- CARE SKN has been on a mission to protect coral reefs and train men and women who could help with the protection and preservation of coral reefs in the Federation.
CARE SKN in collaboration with the Department of Marine Resources, the Nevis Aquatic Sailing Centre and Reef Check Foundation hosted a one-week training course for local and foreign participants, including but not limited to practical reef check classes.
Nine individuals graduated from the course, each attaining Reef Check EcoDiver Certification.
The instructors were Valerie Grégoire, Vaughn L Sturge and James Hewlett.
Minister of Natural Resources in the Nevis Island Administration, Eric Evelyn congratulated the participants for completing the course and also congratulated Valerie Gregoire and Rudelle Williams the driving forces behind CARE SKN.
