St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Virtual competitions, smart apps and community outreach programs are prominent features as the ECCU observes Financial Information Month.
It’s Financial Information Month(FIM) in the 8-member Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) and this year’s theme is taking into account COVID-19’s impact on the regional economy.
Elizabeth Wayland and Nigel Browne of the Corporate Relations Department of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank were guests on WINN 98.9 Monday morning. Ms. Wayland said this year has three sub-themes including a focus on the management of resources, priority spending, and strong recovery.
She said the third focus will be on creating new opportunities in the region that could lead to new systems and structures.
Mr. Browne outlined some of the activities earmarked for the month and said FIM partners will share information about their products and services throughout the month of October.
