St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): As the discussion for the 2021 budget continues, today Wednesday, December 16, the Leader of the Opposition Dr. Denzil Douglas made his address on the proposed 2021 budget.
Dr. Douglas during his address called the budget a gross overestimation considering the state of the economy as affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He further stated the EC$867.9 million budget was a budget of fraud.
Douglas later suggested that the estimated budget could only be facilitated through some form of tax increase.
Dr. Douglas during his presentation continually asked for clarification on how the proposed 2021 budget will be supported.
