St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – The Police have indicated that an unidentified person is in custody after a firearm was found while officers were in pursuit of the individual.
According to a release from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force,
While carrying out bail enforcement exercises in Sandy Point on January 11, officers approached a house in the Bouncing Hill area; a male individual, standing outside the house, saw the Police and ran.
Officers began pursuing the man and, during the chase, found and seized a 9mm Taurus Pistol with a magazine containing four (4) rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The individual escaped the pursuit but was later taken into Police custody.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
