St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Prime Minister Gaston Browne is describing as unhelpful, economic comparisons being made by the St Kitts and Nevis Government with that of Antigua and Barbuda.
The Antiguan leader says he is aware of Prime Minister Timothy Harris having said on a number of occasions that St Kitts and Nevis is faring much better fiscally than Antigua and Barbuda and other OECS states.
Prime Minister Browne says that such comments are coming from both Dr Harris and his deputy, Shawn Richards.
He cited the example of the Team Unity administration’s boast that its COVID-19 Relief package being bigger and better than that of those of other neighboring countries.
The inference that Antigua may not be managing as well as St Kitts and Nevis is an unwelcome comment in St John’s.
Prime Minister Brown says his administration is taking care of people and country in the COVID-19 crisis.
