St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The United Nations celebrates its 75th anniversary at a time of rising tensions between the superpowers USA and China, and a global pandemic that restricted the UN General Assembly to a largely virtual affair with world leaders submitting pre-recorded messages.

The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr. Timothy Harris in his address to the UN General Assembly, on Saturday (September 26), echoed the views of many small states who view the United Nations as a necessary tool for their development.

Dr. Harris praised the work of the United Nations over the past 75 years and called for innovation and resilience to tackle the threats facing the globe.
