St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) — Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris is reminding the nation of our strong vaccination programmes delivered over the years on the heels of the COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout on Monday. He was at the time speaking at his February 23 edition of Leadership Matters when he made that disclosure.

“St. Kitts and Nevis has a highly commendable record of mass vaccination. Many of us are alive because of this…all these vaccination programmes and more have helped us to have a very outstanding record in health care delivery”.

Prime Minister Harris used the opportunity to stress the importance of vaccination stating that it would assist St. Kitts and Nevis in getting back to a level of normalcy.

“Yesterday February 22, we commenced a historic rollout of a national vaccination programme… We are now at a critical stage of the implementation of the final element of our four-pronged strategy to keep our country safe and restore it to normalcy in a safe and sustainable way”.

Prime Minister Harris was amongst the first people to take the AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday, February 22, 2021, at the COVID-19 Vaccination Roll out and Campaign Launch at the Newtown Community Centre.

The vaccination will continue at the Basseterre, Sandy Point, Tabernacle, and Newtown Health Centre on St. Kitts and the Charlestown, Gingerland, and Combermere Health Centres on Nevis during the week.
