Police Investigating Armed Robbery at a Gas Station in Nevis


St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – On August 19, a gas station between the New Castle and Camps areas on Nevis was robbed.

In a release on August 22 from the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, they signalled the launch of an investigation into the armed robbery at the gas station.

According to the authorities, at “approximately 9:25 p.m. on Friday [August 19], an armed assailant entered the gas station from the entrance and demanded money from an employee. The assailant took a sum of cash and fled the scene on foot. No one was injured during the incident.” 

The police have not disclosed the amount of money stolen, nor have they indicated whether there are any persons of interest in the case.

The Police have asked anyone with information about the robbery to contact the New Castle Police Station by dialling 469-9326, the nearest Police Station or the Crime Hotline at 707. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
