St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – On Saturday, September 17, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force confirmed an incident in Sandy Point that led to the death of a young man.
The man has since been identified as 36-year-old Okino Wellington, who was fatally wounded during an incident at Cart Path, Sandy Point.
Wellington was originally from Jamaica but resided in Tabernacle.
According to details provided by the Police, the incident occurred before midday on Saturday (September 17); the Police received a report of a man who was injured during an altercation.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they met Wellington’s motionless body lying on the floor inside a house with what appeared to be a wound to his chest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing, and an individual is currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
