Police report the third illegal firearm seized in a week

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) found another illegal firearm stashed in the Irish Town Area on August 4, 2023.

The Semi-Automatic Pistol marks the third illegal firearm found by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs K-9 Unit seized in a week.

During a joint search, the police also recovered nine .40 rounds of ammunition as well.

No suspects were identified, or arrests were made in connection with the illegal firearm.

Officers found another illegal firearm at the Warner Park cricket stadium.

A search at the Len Harris Cricket Academy’s dome interior in Warner Park led police to find one Diamond Back P9 9mm semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing 12 matching rounds of ammunition on August 2, 2023.

During a routine search of an abandoned building in the Dorset area, officers found and seized one Kel Tec P32 Pistol on July 29, 2023.

No suspects were identified, or arrests were made in connection with those illegal firearm finds.

Investigations into these matters are ongoing.

The Police asks anyone with information on these matter to contact their nearest Police Station.
