St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – Premier of Nevis and Senior Minister of Health, the Hon. Mark Brantley is encouraging the people of Nevis to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus disease.

Premier Brantley issued that call on Thursday, February 25 at his monthly press conference at his Cabinet Room.

“There is a priority list but I think the approach now is once the vaccines are available those who may wish to be vaccinated should simply go into the clinic or call the Health Promotion Unit [at 469-5521]…I encourage you to vaccinate..”

On Wednesday, February 24, Premier Brantley and members of the Cabinet of the Nevis Island Administration took the first shot of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine at the Charlestown Health Centre.

The vaccination will continue at the Gingerland and Combermere Health Centres on Nevis.

St. Kitts and Nevis has received 2000 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine compliments of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
