St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew joins other leaders of the Commonwealth to pay respect and celebrate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Prime Minister Drew in an official statement said, “It is with profound sadness that we the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis mourn the passing, celebrate the life, service and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. We offer prayers for her, for her family and loved ones and for all those who knew and loved her across the realms, the Commonwealth and throughout the world. Her reign marked by resilience, dignity, duty, quiet faith and piety has been and will continue to be an example for all of us. May her soul rest in eternal peace as reflection on her service continues to be remembered.”
Buckingham Palace on Thursday, September 8, 2022, announced the passing of Queen Elizabeth II after seven decades of reign. Queen Elizabeth II was the Head of Commonwealth. She assumed the role after her father died in 1952.
In St. Kitts and Nevis and other Commonwealth countries, flags are being flown half mast to honour the life of Queen Elizabeth II.`
