St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Prolific Alford, the brother of Javrell Alford, who was murdered during the street jam on Monday, December 26, 2022, is making a special appeal to anyone with information regarding the death of his little brother to come forward.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Prolific said, “On December 26, 2022 (Jouvert), a tragic incident took place in Basseterre where a young man, my loving little brother, lost his life. A life that was just beginning, a life that had so much good to come! a former Leeward Island cricketer, an aspiring teacher, and a rising star in music! all at the young age of 21.
Anybody who knows me knows how badly I love my brother, and this is why I chose to come here to appeal to anyone, and I mean anyone, who saw anything or has any information pertaining to what happened.”
Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez said Javrell’s death was due to hypovolemic shock as a result of a single stab wound to the abdomen.
Prolific stated that “I understand and know all too well the stigma placed on ‘giving information’ and I won’t argue with you on that. But what I’d like you to do is put yourself in my mother’s shoes.”
Family and friends have taken to social media to pay tribute to Javrell, best known for his comedy videos and love for music. The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 6, also paid tribute. He said, “The village of St. Paul’s has lost a promising young man, Mr. Javrell Alford. Mr. Javrell Alford was a natural performer who had big dreams and aspirations. I would like to send my deepest condolences to his parents, Lorna Alford-Malone and Clive Malone, his older brother, Meshach Alford, and the entire Alford family of St. Paul’s.
Wishing you comfort, courage, and love during this time of sorrow.”
