Ram’s Group of Companies Donates Two Ventilators To Ministry of Health

Today, Wednesday, July 22nd Ram’s Group of Companies presented to The Ministry
of Health at the JN France Hospital the contribution of two state of the art SIARETRON
4000 ICU TURBINE lung ventilators. These ventilators are part of the Ram’s Group of
Companies COVID 19 Relief effort which to date consists of over XCD$250,000 of
healthcare and food and nutritional supplies directed to those most affected by the
partial closure of the Economy.

Mr. Shaun Weston, Managing Director of Ram’s Group of Companies stated “it is an
honour to be here this morning on behalf of the Ram’s Group of Companies, not to
accept gratitude, but rather convey gratitude and acknowledge the efforts of all the
people and organizations, whether Civil, NGO, or Private, that have been working
over the past six months to contain the COVID 19 pandemic and prepare the
Federation’s Citizens and Residents for the pandemic’s impact when our borders
reopen.” Dr. Cameron Wilkinson, Medical Chief of Staff, in the July 14th Leadership Matters
address referred to the collective effort as an “All of Society Approach”. Never has
the Federation faced such a formidable challenge to our natural way of everyday life,
putting every man woman and child on the frontline. We are all essential workers in
this fight against this non-discriminating virus and have our roles to play.

Since 1935 Ram’s has executed its Corporate responsibility in various ways,
contributing to the development of our Communities’ in the areas of healthcare,
sport, and education; we are committed to the “All of Society Approach” that is imperative in confronting the current challenge of the COVID19 pandemic. This week the Ram’s Group of Companies allocated an additional XCD$50,000 in food
contributions to those most affected and in need and will be working with various organizations to ensure the desired distribution. We encourage all organizations that have the capacity to assist those most in need to contribute what it can.

The Ram’s Group of Companies could not fulfill its Corporate responsibilities were it
not for the ongoing support and patronage of the St Kitts and Nevis Community.
Thank you for your support through your patronage of Ram’s Supermarkets, Ram’s
Wholesale and Ram’s Cash & Carry and Ram’s Duty Free. The Management of Ram’s must include a special word of gratitude to the almost 600 Associates who are employed with the Ram’s Group of Companies. Their personal health and well-being
are essential to their role in the Nation’s food supply and we implore them to act responsibly by following the COVID19 guidelines.

On behalf of the Ram’s Group of Companies we wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the healthcare professionals that have worked tirelessly to protect the Federation. May God Bless You and Keep you and your Families safe and give you the strength and fortitude to face the challenges ahead.
