St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Thirty recruits commenced Recruit Course 45, a six-week training program, at the Police Training School on St. Kitts.
Commandant of the Police Training School, Inspector Shorna Edwards offered this outline of the program.
Inspector said extra-curricular activities are also part of the preparation of the recruits.
A Fire Services and Rescue Training Program was also launched Monday at the Fire Services Department on St. Kitts.
Fire Sub Station Officer Lesroy Caines, the program coordinator gave an overview of that program.
Acting Chief Fire Officer Garfield Hodge assured the public that Fire Officers are now using the latest techniques to fight fires which include physical education, foot drills, first aid, fire scene assessment and preservation, rescue and extrication, and search and rescue.
