St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – Persons who are caught not wearing face masks in public places will now pay EC$100.

That announcement was made by Attorney General Vincent Byron on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at a sitting of the National Assembly at Government Headquarters.

So when will the new fine take effect and what are the plans to enforce compliance with the regulations that were ignored by a significant number of people including those charged with enforcing the rules?

That question was raised at the NEOC briefing on Wednesday, November 18th.

Police Superintendent Cromwell Henry

The Superintendent in his presentation, at the NEOC briefing on, Wednesday used the opportunity to remind the public that some visitors would be arriving from high-risk destinations so it was critical that all protocols be observed for the safety of locals and visitors.
