(Trinidad Express) – THE PRIME Ministers of three Caricom countries have extended greetings to Trinidad and Tobago on its celebration of its 64th anniversary of Independence. The leaders of Barbados, Guyana and St Kitts and Nevis all issued greetings via their social media pages on Monday.

On behalf of the Government and people of Barbados, I extend warm congratulations to the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago as you celebrate 64 years of Independence.
Trinidad and Tobago remains one of the great pillars of our Caribbean family. Your culture, creativity, enterprise and spirit have enriched our entire region, while your people have long opened their hearts and homes to their Caribbean brothers and sisters.
The ties between our nations are rooted in family, friendship and a shared history that is deeper and more enduring than any single moment. Our Caribbean future will always be strongest when we choose respect, solidarity and the greater good of our region.
