St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Royal Caribbean Cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas which departed Port Zante on Friday (January 8), is now in the British Virgin Islands for a month.
The Grandeur of the Seas is expected to arrive in the BVI tomorrow Tuesday (January 12).
The St. Kitts Tourism Ministry released a statement last week on the departure of the vessels from the Federation’s waters.
“The Royal Caribbean Group has advised the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, that due to operational needs for both the Grandeur of the Seas and the Rhapsody of the Seas and their respective shore side teams, the vessels will be relocated as of today, Friday, January 8th, 2021.”
BVI News reports that the ships will not have guests and will berth strictly to warm lay up, refuel, take on provisions, spare parts, and other services.
Chief Executive Officer of Pier Park said the docking area will have a security detail to ensure there is no breach by crew members or residents.
