St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Four men are facing a number of charges linked to the armed robbery of apartments at Gulf View in Frigate Bay on Wednesday, September 16.
A police statement issued Sunday names Devon Herbert of Verchilds, Vernon Nias and Inon Nias of Greenlands and Davin Phillip of Westbourne Ghaut are facing an array of charges.
The men are jointly charged two (2) counts of assault with five(5) counts of robbery, two (2) counts of assault with intent to rob, one (1)count of conspiracy to commit robbery, four(4) counts of possession of a firearm with intent to commit a felony and four (4) counts of possession of ammunition.
The statement said the men were charged on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2020.
The search continues for another suspect in the robbery.
A Police statement Friday (September 18) said four suspects were in custody after officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress. The suspects were not named. According to Police the suspects wearing masks with bulletproof vests, gloves, and sunglasses entered two apartments and stolen a number of items, and attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle with false number plates.
A search by the Officers led them to discover four firearms – one (1) Diamondback .380 pistol, one (1) Taurus Millennium Pro pistol and two (2) Mac-9 high-powered pistols – and several rounds of ammunition.
