St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Dr. Keith Rowley–led People’s National Movement has retained the reigns in Trinidad and Tobago when the dust settled in the General Elections on Monday.
According to the details, the PNM defeated the Kamal Persaud Bissessar’s United National Congress 22-19.
In a late night speech to claim victory, Dr. Rowley said that the journey has been difficult but they were given the mandate for the second term and will continue to assist the people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cheered on by a large group of supporters, PM Rowley called for the patience as his government continues to work on developing the country.
Opposition Leader, Bissessar said she and the UNC will not concede at this time.
