Samuel Killed, Watson Injured In Old Road Stabbing


St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police have identified the two young men who were seriously injured in Tuesday’s Old Road stabbing incident, which resulted in one succumbing.

According to information out of the police force, dead is 26-year-old Donte Samuel of Old Road who was fatally stabbed, while 31-year-old Quezney Watson was stabbed and injured.

Early investigations revealed that shortly to 4 p.m. on Tuesday an altercation between several persons occurred in Old Road.

During the incident, Samuel was stabbed in the chest and Watson received a wound to his left eye. They were both transported to the JNF Hospital in private vehicles.

Police said Samuel succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Watson underwent surgery and is currently warded in a stable condition.

This incident brings to six the number of homicides for the year, and several days after the body of 55-year-old Stenneth Harvey was found in Saddlers Mountain.

Police in a statement on that incident said that the man’s body was found on a dirt track with several lacerations.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
