St.Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Students will be returning to school on Monday, January 24 for the commencement of the 2nd term of the academic year. According to the Minister of Education, the Honourable Jonel Powell, schools are set and ready to welcome back the students.

“Schools are ready to welcome back the students on the 24th. Things have been going very well in terms of the 5th formers and the early childhood sector. We’ve had no issues, things have been going very smoothly. We’ve had our protocols in place for two years now and so we are looking forward to welcoming all students back to school, next Monday, the 24th and we just want to encourage all students and teachers to remember the non-pharmaceutical protocols; in particular, wearing masks in the classroom and I continue to advocate for teachers to go out and get vaccinated.”

Minister Powell is also urging parents to ensure that their children are vaccinated against Covid-19, as they now prepare to return to school.
