St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Schools are now fully reopened in the Federation and Premier and Senior Minister of Education on Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, has joined the call for parents and guardians to get their children vaccinated.
Premier Brantley was speaking with WINN on Monday, January 24, 2022, when he made the call.
“I am to encourage our students to do their very best and to ensure that they adhere to the protocols and to encourage the parents to ensure that they are vaccinated and where possible for their children they have them vaccinated as well.”
Brantley who also serves as the Senior Minister of Health on Nevis also used the opportunity to encourage teachers to get vaccinated.
“They have been with us through a very difficult period. They have persevered through thick and thin and I would certainly want to encourage them to give of their best and to ensure that they too get vaccinated and adhere to the protocols.”
Schools were set to open on Monday, January 10, 2022, but delayed due to the spike in COVID-19 cases in the country.
