St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – On July 30, 2023, sometime after midnight, a young man was shot on Burdon Street in Basseterre.
According to a statement from the Police, the shooting left 22-year-old Jalen Archibald with a gunshot wound to the face.
Preliminary reports suggest that while standing outside of his vehicle on Burdon Street, Archibald was approached by an individual dressed in black.
The young man reported hearing a sharp, cracking sound and feeling something hit his face.
The police said that Archibald drove home, then sought medical attention at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he was treated and, soon after, discharged in stable condition.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
