St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): There are now 66 active cases of the coronavirus disease in St. Kitts and Nevis due to an additional 25 confirmed cases being recorded in the last 24 hours. Nineteen cases were reported Monday evening (June 07) and another six Tuesday (June 08) 2021.
These recent cases include one imported case from the Dominican Republic, one case from the Tyrell Williams Primary School, and one case that is related to nine other cases.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Hazel Laws, during her appearance on the June 08 edition of Leadership Matters, provided that information.
“The Ministry of Health is monitoring 66 active cases. A significant number of recent cases are involved in the Gaming sector. Approximately seven entities have been impacted through the contact tracing process.”
As of June 08, 2021, St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded 119 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 105 for St. Kitts and 14 for Nevis. There have been four hospitalizations of which all are currently in stable condition. Fifty-three have fully recovered.
There are no reported Covid-19 related deaths.
