St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded a ninth COVID-19 related death.

Health Minister Akilah Byron-Nisbett made that revelation during an address on Wednesday, September 15.

“It is with a deep sense of sorrow that I now inform you that St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded a ninth death attributed to the COVID-19. On behalf of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Ministry of Health, I express profound condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.”

Forty-six new COVID-19 cases were reported today (Sep. 15) having been recorded in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the federation now stand at 1,556 with 1,280 on St. Kitts and 276 for Nevis.

“Of the nine COVID-19 related deaths registered in the federation, only one was vaccinated.”

The Health Minister is urging people to get vaccinated and adhere to the established non-pharmaceutical measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease.
