St. Kitts and Nevis (Sports Page) – After starting the CPL 2021 season with an amazing five wins, the SKN Patriots have lost their last three matches, on the run.
On Wednesday, they came up against the Jamaica Tallawahs.
The Tallawahs batted first and led by outstanding knocks from Shamarh Brookes, Rovman Powell and Andre Rusell, got to an imposing 169 for 8 in their 20 allotted overs.
The Patriots in response, lost one of their key players, Evin Lewis, in the second over of the chase and struggled thereafter, despite good starts from Devon Thomas and Joshua Da Silva and cameos from Dominic Drakes and Fabian Allen.
It was a case of ‘too little, too late,’ in the final overs and they fell short by all of 22 runs
Summarized scores: Jamaica Tallawahs 169 for 8 (Brooks 43, Ahmed 2-14) beat Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots 147 for 8 (Thomas 35, Pretorius 3-26) by 22 runs
