This system, currently positioned east of the islands, carries a low to medium chance of further intensification over the next one to two days.
Residents and visitors should anticipate a weekend marked by increased precipitation urging proactive preparedness measures.
The detailed forecast indicates predominantly cloudy skies, interspersed with periods of showers and a high, 70 per cent chance of thunderstorms.
Rainfall accumulations over the next 24 hours are projected to be between 12.7 mm and 25.4 mm (0.5 to 1 inch).
As evening approaches, the weather is expected to transition to partly cloudy conditions, with a moderate 60 per cent chance of showers and a lower, 30 per cent chance of thunderstorms.
Friday is specifically forecast to bring mostly cloudy skies and shower activity, accompanied by a moderate chance of thunderstorms, while residual moisture is expected to trigger additional showers on Saturday, extending the period of unsettled weather.
