St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for St Kitts and Nevis.
The National Hurricane Center has placed several islands including St Kitts and Nevis under a Tropical Storm Watch as Tropical Depression Thirteen races towards the west.
Other countries on the list include Antigua and Barbuda, St Maarten, Saba, St Eustatius, and Anguilla.
At 8 am TD13, which is expected to become Tropical Storm Laura later today, was located 830 miles east southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. The storm is moving toward the west-northwest near 21 mph.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph.
A Tropical Storm Watch is issued when a tropical cyclone containing winds of 39 to 73 mph or higher poses a possible threat, generally within 48 hours.
