The St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots inserted the St. Lucia Kings, after winning the toss; in their fourth match of this year’s CPL, played at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts… The Kings began their innings with the openers Tim Seifert and Johnson Charles, who added twenty-one for the first wicket, before Seifert was caught by Shah of Kyle Mayers for twelve in the third over.
They then slipped into further trouble after losing their second wicket on the same score, when the young Ackeem Auguste was caught by Rossouw for no score… Mayers was then on a hat-trick, which was thwarted/averted by Roston Chase, who batted at number four.
Then, following a fifty-run 4th wicket partnership between Charles and Chase, Charles was caught by Goolie of Salamkheil for fifty-two of twenty-eight balls, in thirty-six minutes with 4×4’s & 4×6’s with the total on seventy-one. Roston Chase then scored 61 of 38 balls with 8x4s and 1×6, before he was bowled by Farooqi in the 16th over with the score on 178…
Tim David scored a very aggressive and attacking 46 with 5x6s and 1×4 of 26 deliveries in 45 minutes; and the St. Lucia Kings finished on an even 200 of their twenty overs, scoring at exactly ten runs per over…

The Patriots, in their chase of 201 for victory, began with the seasoned campaigners of Andre Fletcher and Carl Mayers… They added forty-three for the first wicket, before Mayers was caught by Chase of Wiese for 13 with 3x4s of nine balls in 20 minutes, with the total on 43… Fletcher then went for twenty-five of 19 balls, with 4x4s & 1×6 in 25 minutes, with the score on 47…
Mikyle Louise only got two on his birthday; Roussouw scored 11 and there was a 77 run partnership between Bidaisee and captain Jason Holder; who took the score from 4 for 61 to 5 for 138, when Holder departed for 63 of 29 balls with 6x6s & 3x4s in 30 minutes of batting… Bidaisee got 50 of 36 deliveries with 4x6s and 3x4s in 73″ minutes of batting… Jyd Goolie finished on 15 not out; and there were 18 extras, all of which were wides…
The SKN Patriots just fell short by three runs, when Navin Bidaisee looking to finish the game wth a boundary; was smartly caught just inside the wide long off boundary by Tim David, of captain David Wiese for a well played fifty; which just merely failed to see the Patriots home to what would have been a quite remarkable victory… The Patriots finished on 197 for six of their allotted 20 overs… The successful bowlers for the SLU Kings were:
