(Loop St Lucia) Plans are afoot to host a virtual carnival production in St Lucia, the first of its kind since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, in July 2021, Loop News has confirmed.
Details surrounding the production were not divulged to Loop News, however, the entity tasked with the production is said to be the Events Company of Saint Lucia, according to Minister for Culture and Creative Industries, Senator Fortuna Belrose.
According to sources close to the Events Company of Saint Lucia, while the matter is still at a discussion level, a decision will be made in line with the guidance of the Ministry of Health and increased concerns about the spread of COVID-19.
